What 200+ Founders Taught Us About Founder-led Sales (Anniversary News)

We’re celebrating our 1 year anniversary this month (such babies). If you’re reading this, you’re already a part of the reason we exist. So a few quick wins/learnings that I think you’ll find interesting & then a huge announcement I want to share.

Highlights:
We’ve coached over 200+ founders this past year (nuts)
We’ve partnered with 9+ VCs/Accelerators and accelerators to run sales programs for their cohorts—(aiming to double that this year).

Learnings:
10 out of 10 first-time founders have never sold anything B2B in their life.
9 out of 10 founders have a faulty sales process.
You validate PMF (Product Market Fit) with the right Sales-(Methodology, Messaging and Skills) training
With the right coaching, founders are about 2 quarters away from a consistent, converting pipeline

So what are we doing with this data this year?

Because we validated our PMF through selling (see what I did there?), we’re now testing how to scale that value across the ecosystem.

Founders hit me with “how can I get more education?” and I’ve been waiting to do this all year. We partnered with VC firm Slauson & Co, Gener8tor and Goodie Nation to launch and test a 2-day B2B sales academy for first time founders/sellers.

A cost effective way to speed-track founders to immediately increase the probability of deals closing, at scale.

50 founders will walk away with confidence, a clear sales methodology, and plug-and-play frameworks for Discovery and Proposal calls.
